Complaint: Potter installed and has serviced out Geo Thermal AC unit for over 12 years. The past year and 1/2 they have been to our home to service our AC unit because it has failed to turn on for the summer. They installed a new thermostat, new switches, Freon and other items. On the last visit, we were told we needed a new compressor and the cost would now be $5800. Feeling taken advantage of, I asked for a second opinion. This tech looked at our unit and found that when Freon was last installed, it was not done properly causing Freon to leak out over and damage the compressor. He also found that who ever serviced my unit last did not turn on my energy saving switch causing me thousands of dollars over the winter to heat my home.

Desired Settlement: I wrote a letter of complaint to Potter expressing my concerns on this matter and asked that someone contact me about this since we have been customers for so long. I merely wanted someone else to come out to see what we could see and bring all service paperwork back out so we could discuss this and see if in fact a mistake had been made and how to resolve. No one from the company has ever contacted me about this and I feel this is an extreme failure in service. I have two small children and still have no air condition in my home with 90 degree weather because of mistake from a technician from a company that is unwilling to investigate the case.
