Additional Complaint Information
The company offers a written guarantee to every client which states: "You will have generated or saved at least twice the cost of your tuition within twelve months of your purchase or we will continue working with you until you do." Failure is not an option. As with any company, the client must fulfill his/her portion of the contract for the guarantee to be effective.
The company does not offer refunds and/or cancellation periods unless specifically required by the law of the state the client resides in or unless specifically written on the contract. Currently only the states of Washington and Utah provide for a 3-day right of rescission. Appropriate contracts with instructions on how to rescind within the given 3-day timeframe are provided in these two states. Utah law prevails in cases of documented disputes. Coaching Institute seminars are not marketed to the general public, only to licensed real estate agents, who are considered sole proprietors under the law and as such all contracts are considered business to business contracts and therefore not subject to the Federal Trade Commission cooling off period.
Consumer complaints primarily consist of poor quality coaching and verbal promises made by the seminar sales people not being met. The company responds to complaints by stating they have no way to verify any verbal promises and adhere to the contractual terms which the consumer signs.
Coaching Institute strongly encourages all clients to read and understand their contract before signing and to make sure all promises made verbally are included in the written contract.
