Complaint Category: Failure to substantiate charges

Complaint: Please help us. We have done business with Beeline Pest Control for over 30 years. We missed one scheduled appointment. It was my fault. I **** *** ******* set this company up and have paid for it out of my Social Security checks. When we moved into this older home it was vacant for a few months, we discovered it had mice. Beeline helped us we like their service. The problem lies with one missed appointment. I am 67 years old and not in good health. I was at a physicians appointment at the University of Utah Hospital Orthopedic Clinic getting steroid injections in my back. My husband *** did not want this service. I was out, *** did not want to bother with the Pest Control person (*** has had cancer, four tumors and does not deal with anyone when he is ill.) I am so very sorry, this company is charging me $65.00 for a service I did not receive. The pest control person said "I sprayed the front yard." There was snow on the ground and *** did not notice foot prints around our front yard. Our back gate is locked with a pada lock. I have called and tried in vain to listen. She only tells me I should have, I could have. I did not think this company would be so hard on an elder couple who has done business with them for over 30 years.
We did not receive the service and do not feel I have to pay $65.00 over the years I have paid the company more than $65.00. When I called 4/2/13, the girl said "pay $45.00 that's the best I can do." Now I received another bill demanding $65.00. These folks do not understand a fixed income does not allow for just giving up money. You eat, pay for medications or die. $65.00 is a lot of money for a company who has a lot of money. I would appreciate any help at all.

After filing this complaint, the customer called us. We resolved the issue and the customer said she was going to remove the complaint.

My name is **** *** ******* I called and spoke with the owner of this company in hope this person would honor my loyalty to this business. The name I was given was *****. He told me it was like ordering a pizza once the person was on my doorstep I would have to pay. Ms. ****** at least I would have a pizza to show for my money paid. I did not receive any service for the pest control. This business would have been able to use the chemicals in t6heir truck to do other areas. I have seentheir truck down the street from our home. The person I spoke to was as persistant as their collection person, even more greedy to collect. $65.00 and not $45.00 as his collection manager. I will make payments of $15.00 per month from my social security checks until I pay them $45.00 as arranged by ******* collection manager of Bee Line but I will no longer do business with them.
