Subject 10/06/21 – I had a toothache and went to Riverton Heights Dental and saw Dr. B***. After taking x-rays, I was told I needed a root canal. I was given antibiotics and scheduled for a root canal for 10/20/21. 10/20/21 – Root canal was performed and a crown was put on the tooth same day. Insurance billed and I paid my portion. 11/22/21 – I had an abscessed tooth where the root canal was performed. Since, I was out of town, I called my doctor and was put on antibiotics. During this entire time, I had tooth pain and sensitivity where the root canal was done. 12/17/21 – Saw Dr B*** stated that I was still having pain and had an abscessed tooth. Dr. B*** stated he would re-treat the area at no cost to me. Appointment was scheduled for 01/12/21. Insurance billed, no cost to me. 01/21/21 – tooth was re-treated by drilling into the crown. Insurance billed, no cost to me. 03/03/21 – I had another abscessed tooth where the re-treat was performed. I was told that I need to see an endodontist. If the endodontist could not save the tooth, the amount I had already paid would go towards the implant. Insurance billed, no cost to me. 03/29/21 – Saw the endodontist, he stated the tooth could be saved and scheduled my appointment to have my third root canal on the same tooth. Insurance billed and I was billed for the upcoming procedure. 04/04/21 – Endodontist performed root canal and placed a temporary filling in the tooth. Told that I needed to see my dentist to have the temporary filling removed and a permanent one put in its place. 04/15/21 – Saw Dr. B*** to have the temporary filling replaced. In speaking to Dr. B***, I told him I don’t think it’s right that I’ve been billed for booth root canal procedures, Dr. B*** stated he would refund me my portion of the root canal originally done on 10/06/21. Shantel, Dr. B***’s Office assistant asked if I wanted to pick up the check or have it mailed. I requested to have it mailed. 05/05/21 – I received a bill from Riverton Heights Dental stating I owed $429. So, I called and spoke to Shantel, she stated to disregard the bill and she would check on my refund. 05/17/21 – No refund, so I called and spoke with Shantel, she stated she would speak to Dr. B*** tomorrow about having a check cut in the office. 05/24/27 – Called to speak to Shantel regarding her discussion with Dr. B***, I was told she was out of the office and she would call me back tomorrow. 05/25/21 – No call back from Shantel, so I called and asked to speak to her, I was told she was out of the office. 05/27/21 – Called to speak to Shantel, told she was in an offsite meeting. 05/28/21 – Called to speak to Shantel, told to please hold then told she was out of the office and didn’t work on Fridays.
