Complaint: Cost of service $ 100 more than estimate given in person and confirmed by phone the next day. When computer brought for service,****** took off battery and entered serial number. Then, told me cost of replacement screen would be $ 180. WE called the next day to see when the computer would be ready and the price of $ 180 was confirmed in detail specifically saying the diagnostic cost of $ 49.95 is included in the $ 180. Then, several days later, received call saying the cost would be $ 280. When we said no, still had to pay the diagnostic cost.

Desired Settlement: Do the service requested for $ 180 less the $ 49.95 plus tax paid.

As Ms. ******* stated, We gave her an estimate (a quick over the counter estimate) when she brought in her MacBook. This estimate was given before we had even looked at the customers MacBook. She was told that once we diagnosed and tested the MacBook and had determined what parts and the costs of the parts, we would call and give her a quote for the parts, labor and shipping.
ALSO - the tech that talked to the customer has been reprimanded about the fact that he failed to show the customer our printed sheet regarding LCD repairs for laptops and MacBooks.

The business did call the next day and reaffirmed the original estimate of $ 180 after having diagnosing it.
