My journey with Ocean Key Resort has been nothing short of a disappointment, starting from the moment they lured me in with the promise of a free lunch in exchange for attending a presentation. If there's one piece of advice I can give, it's to run the other way when you're offered something for "free." It's a tactic designed to trap you, and I fell right into their snare. Back in 2012, I purchased a timeshare in Virginia Beach, not just one, but two contracts with them. What seemed like a good idea back then quickly turned into a financial burden. They convinced me to merge my contracts under the guise of an "upgrade." It's essential to note that my timeshare was paid off, and I've reached a point where I no longer find any benefit in keeping it. The maintenance fees they're charging have skyrocketed, leaving me baffled and frustrated. When I signed up, they conveniently omitted the fact that these fees would increase over the years, reaching an exorbitant price that's just not justifiable anymore. It's a constant drain on my finances, making me question the value of this timeshare. Furthermore, the benefits they touted during the sales presentation have proven to be nothing more than empty promises. The reality is far from what they painted, and I've reached a point where I can no longer justify keeping this timeshare. It's not meeting my needs, and I'm left feeling deceived and taken advantage of. I'm requesting the cancellation of my timeshare contract, given the changes in circumstances and the undeniable fact that the benefits I was promised have not materialized. Ocean Key Resort needs to hear my plea and take responsibility for the disappointment they've caused. if you're considering a timeshare with Ocean Key Resort, please be cautious. My experience has been far from satisfactory, and I strongly urge you to explore other options.
