Yahoo will begin a new service called, “Local Offers” that will bring together deep discounts from more than a dozen partners, including Groupon, LivingSocial and Coupons.com, Mashable recently reported.
Instead of competing with these companies, Yahoo has decided to bring them all together, allowing the website to target its large audience without incurring new costs.
The announcement comes after rumors that Yahoo was planning to buy Groupon, which would have cost the website billions of dollars, says Mashable. Other websites, such as Facebook and Yelp have also recently launched their own local deals products.
