Scammers Use BBB's Name In Lottery Scam

It's not the first time scammers have used The Better Business Bureau name to scam consumers and yet, it continues to happen, according to WSPA News.

The scammers call or send their victims letters saying that they have won the lottery and send fake checks to their victims.  When consumers cash the check, they don't know that it's not real. BBB is in no way involved in the lottery.  The next time you get a call from someone claiming to be from the Better Business Bureau saying that you've won the lottery, hang up the phone.
