The final countdown to Black Friday begins today but many consumers may find that several retailers are offering Black Friday promotions before Thanksgiving, according to
Detroit News.
But consumers should not expect expensive electronics, clothes, sporting goods and furnishings to be among them. Still, sought after expensive toys for your kids will be available. Consumers are also expected to spend less this year than last year due to continuing unemployment and foreclosure.
Kmart and Wal-Mart are among the retailers offering pre-Black Friday promotions and Cyber Monday, still expected to kick off the Monday after Thanksgiving may still have consumers slow to buy. As a result, consumers may wait too late redeeming gift cards and instead wait for better sale deals in January.
