Amid privacy concerns, Google Buzz may have another hot issue to deal with: phishing scams, according to
The Consumerist. When Google Buzz was first unveiled a week ago, it revolutionized social media: google users could buzz articles to contacts from within their gmail. Phishers have already begun taking advantage of this feature by introducing bad search results through google. Once someone clicks on one of these bad search results, your computer automatically sends spam to other users.
One privacy group, The Electronic Privacy Information Center, the same group who filed complaints over Facebook's privacy policies, filed a complaint concerning Google Buzz with the FTC.
Fortunately, gmail users do have the option of not using Google Buzz. It can be turned off at the bottom of the screen within their Gmail account.
