Pennsylvania consumers can expect to see an increase in energy efficiency rebates effective for ENERGY STAR purchases on or after August 2, 2010. Consumers will continue to receive rebates until the funds run out. (Currently there are approximately 72% of the funds remaining.)
Consumers looking to receive an ENERGY STAR rebate should follow these steps:
1. First decide which product is best for your home and check to see if it is eligible for a rebate. Click here for the list of products and rebate amounts.
2. Reserve your rebate. Be sure to keep your reservation confirmation number as you will need it to properly fill out the rebate application.
3. Find a Pennsylvania state registered contractor to install your product and make sure your registered contractor gives you their signature. (You must have their signature to complete the rebate application.) Also be sure to purchase the product in Pennsylvania as that is part of the rebate eligibility. To find a list of ENERGY STAR registered contractors, click here. Also check out the contractor with the Better Business Bureau at www.bbb.org or by calling 412-456-2700.
