Nexus One: Google-Branded Phone Debuts Today

Today, Google announced details regarding its new company-branded phone, nexus one.

The compact, sleek phone operates on the Android Mobile Platform and offers features such as:

  • 3.7-inch touch-screen display
  • 5 megapixel camera with LED flash
  • Removable battery
  • 1 GHz processor
  • Voice-enabled text entry
  • Its size is the width of a standard pencil

The phone is available for purchase from the Google web store for $179 with a T-Mobile 2-year contract or $529 unlocked. It will be available at a reduced price with a Verizon contract this spring, according to Mashable.
