Watch out for the latest Facebook scam:
A wall post that says "OMG, this really works! Now you can really see who viewed your profile!"
It follows on with a link to a website where you're told you can download an application to see what friends have viewed your profile. However, this scam is spreading rapidly across the Facebook social network and is part of a scam network designed to lure people into providing their personal account information.
These scammers earn their commissions by how many Facebook profiles they can spread their links to, so it is important to watch out for spam links and not trust any link presented to you unless you know the source. According to Sophos, 60,000 people have clicked on this link since the campaign started.
If you have been hit by a scam like this, remove your references to it from your newsfeed and revoke your right of rogue applications to access your profile via Account/Privacy Settings/ Applications and Websites.
