Toyota would probably prefer to stay out of the recall limelight for a while but now the company's under investigation again, according to
The Detroit News.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating claims that the Toyota Prius Hybrid MY 2010 experiences loss of breaking capability when traveling over uneven surfaces, potholes and bumps.
NHTSA received 124 reports from customers, four of which resulted in crashes and two minor injuries. Toyota's last recall resulted in 5.4 million recalled cars due to safety concerns involving the one of the pedals getting stuck under floor mats.
Congress is even stepping in, holding three hearings and the first one planned for February 10th before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.
