Marketing Company in Boston Offers Travel Giveaways, but Doesn't Follow Through on Offers

TLC Marketing, a firm in Boston, is accused of cheating consumers by offering vacation freebies if they buy from retailers, according to The Boston Channel. One couple was promised two free airplane tickets if they purchased new cell phones. After the cell phones were purchased, TCL failed to follow through on their promise and instead of getting two free tickets; the couple had to pay $1,200 for their tickets.

The company claims no wrong doing and instead, over estimated how many people would participate in the program and simply did not have enough rewards to go around. Fortunately, there are ways to avoid falling into the same situation. First off, do your research. Consumers should be on guard of companies with promotions like 'If you buy this, you get a free trip!'  Nothing is ever free without attachments.
