Maker of Girl Scout Cookies Announces Recall

Posted Friday, February 26, 2010 in Food & Beverage
by Elaine Roxane Winter

It was announced today the recall of some Girl Scout cookies due to an off taste and smell, according to the Girl Scout cookie maker Little Brownie Bakers

While lemon chalete crèmes cookies are safe to eat, they are not up to quality standards, the company said. The cookies contain oils when broken down, result a strange taste and smell. Fortunately, the recall only affects a small batch of boxed cookies.

If consumers have purchased one of the affected boxes, they are encouraged to call 1-800-962-1718 or contact www.littlebrowniebakers.com.

Again, the cookies are safe to eat and this is only a quality product recall.
