Lawsuit Targets Electronic Cigarette Maker

Posted Tuesday, August 18, 2009

John Kroger, Oregon's Attorney General, filed a lawsuit today against an electronic cigarette maker.

The lawsuit alleges that Florida-based Smoking Everywhere, made false health claims and targeted children, according to the Portland Business Journal.

The electronic nicotine delivery device is not approved by the FDA and may contain carcinogens. Kroger alleges that the cigarettes were promoted as safter than regular cigarettes with no scientific evidence to back their claim up, the Business Journal reported. They also use flavors such as bubblegum, which Kroger says targets young children.

On 5/10/2010 these people submitted my check card for $9.95 to my bank for an order that I never placed.I bought the e-cigerette pkg in November 2009 with my check card. I have notified my bank of this transaction.I also have tried the 800-927-0185 to no avail. On my bank statement it shows it was submitted from Sugarland, TX. This maybe there new territory they are setting shop up at. I could not find a listing for them yet. I do not trust a business that would do something as this.

How do I file a complaint concerning this company? I have been trying to collect a refund for the last 2 months.
