Keep on the Lookout for Haiti Earthquake Scams

As the people of Haiti continue to recover after their countries most devastating earthquake, there are still many people who want to help and are making donations.  Unfortunately, as time passes, more people are getting scammed by false online websites, hacked websites, and social networking sites. 

Always be careful when donating online.  Hackers are taking over normal websites and adding “texting-haiti-to-90999” or Haiti and texting related strings at the end of the url.  When people search for Texting Haiti these sites will come up.  Make sure to check the url before opening any website.
