Income Levels Rise Across the Country

Good news. Buffalo Business First is reporting that personal income rose in 36 states and DC during the second quarter of 2009. That marks a big turnaround from the decline in the first quarter.

North Dakota had the fastest income growth rate during the three-month span. Personal income there increased 1.5 percent, compared to the period of January, February and March, according to Buffalo Business First.

Four other states had gains of at least 1 percent including Iowa, West Virginia, Kentucky and Maine.
