How to Save Money on Halloween Costumes

Looking for ways to save on Halloween costumes this year? Consumermom.org recommends a costume swapping party. Parents, kids and their friends bring in costumes that they are willing to share.

You can also save money by looking through your closet. For guys, if you want to be a football player, bring out that old uniform or ask a buddy if you can borrow his. Because witch costumes are still popular for women, a combo of a black blouse, skirt and stalkings with a witch hat should do the trick.

Besides costumes, decorations can also be costly but there are ways to save, such as a visit to your local dollar store. Need music to set the mood? Anything by Danny Elfman will do.
