Big and small American companies who did business in Haiti are now, starting to feel the pain of the earthquake that hit there, according to Portfolio.com

Royal Caribbean International and Wal-Mart are responding; the chain is sending $100,000 worth of food kits and donating $500,000 to the Red Cross and Royal Caribbean is offering use of its ships to help with the relief effort.

Other companies like Jacksonville, Florida based Crowley Maritime and Sea Star Lines will ship rebuilding supplies and equipment.  Flights to Haiti from Miami and Ford Lauderdale were canceled by American Airlines, Insel Air and Spirit Airlines.

You can also check out BBB's Wise Giving Alliance page for more details about which charity to give to and your local government charity website.  To find out more about which charities provide relief, check out this BBB article: Charities Providing Haiti Earthquake Relief.
