FTC Tips to Give Wisely to Pakistan

As the news reports fill with images of Pakistan devastated by the recent flooding, the urge is to open up one’s wallet. But choose your outlet wisely, says the FTC in a recent article.

The FTC advises potential donors to give to established charities, which are more likely to have the infrastructure to provide the most help. The FTC also recommends checking out all charities before you give through the Wise Giving Alliance.

For those who don’t have a favorite charity in mind, one sure option is to give through the official US government relief fund created by the State Department.
