Don't Wait to Buy Your Ticket: Airfare to Skyrocket During Holidays

Planning on flying over the holidays? You better buy your ticket soon because KABC says that if you wait, you're in for a rude awakening with fares soaring.

That's different from last year when fares actually dropped after Thanksgiving. The reason for the hike: Airlines have cut flights and reduced the number of available seats.  

If you wait, you could find yourself paying $800 for a round-trip ticket.
