Consumers Lose on Hair Loss Company

The National Hair Growth Institute based in Chicago is being sued by customers who tried their products but did not see results as expected, according to American Consumer News.

The Institute used a combination of laser light therapy, scalp massages and topical products to regrow hair but the groups suing says their treatments didn't help them at all. The laser light therapy is not a Food and Drug Administration approved device, nor is it promoted by the The American Hair Loss Association.

Even the wording on the company's website is misleading. The Institute's website says that they are “closely able to determine the expected 6 month outcome from each individual and therefore offers every client a 100% money back guarantee if expected results are not realized.” However, the money back guarantee only applies to customers who have been losing hair for more than 7 years.

Despite the lawsuit, the National Hair Growth Institute says they have success stories and testimonials to back up their product.
