Chinese Cyber Attacks Exploits Internet Explorer Weaknesses

The Chinese recent hacking attempt exploited structure vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer, according to San Jose Business Journal.

The cyber attack, named Aurora, targeted many companies, Google one of them.

McAfee is working with the Chinese government and law enforcement in an on-going investigation but confirmed that the reason why the hackers were so successful is because they were using malicious code, exploiting a previously unknown weakness in Internet Explorer.

The effects of cyber attacks on companies, cause businesses to lose more than $1 trillion a year.
