Beware Of Online IQ Tests

You think you're smart? That is the challenge of the latest IQ test, to see if you as a consumer are smart enough to see if you can spot a scam. IQ tests are very popular online, on facebook and other social media. But if consumers are not careful, they could end up being billed $10 a month for text messages, according KOMO News.

Here's how it works: The tests are composed of ten questions but on the last question, the IQ test asks for you to enter your cell phone number so you can receive your score or the last question. If you don't read the fine print, you could be signing up for a renewal subscription.  

Never provide your cellphone online because whatever text messages you receive, will be billed to your account. If you receive a link from someone on facebook or twitter to an IQ quiz, it is either a scam or someone has hacked into one of your friends' twitter accounts in which case, delete the message and change your login details so you can avoid also being hacked.

I was playing online IQ test fianlly, I was asked to enter my mobile number. As soon as I entered my mobiel number received 2 messages & it deducted SR: 10 for each messages. The message I received from 802602 messages is: http://193.126.233.67/iac/m3?sti=976&sub=121413929 When I tried this it shows one file is downloading. So far I lost SR: 80 everytime I recharge SR: 10 is deducting from my balance. I'm Saudi Arabia, having SAWA mobile service provider. Please help me get out of this problem.

if u cant sms them,then do this. although that works.i have just sent sms to them and i got cancellation sms. but atleast alhumdolilah i got rid of this! i m also in saudi arabia. i did it earlier but that didnt work. this time it did.

people dont do this:

please try this way send the sms To cancel the service just send stop wallpapers to 616234 for Mobily customers
or stop wallpapers to 802600 for STC customers.

it will cancel the subscription but will also cut 5 sr again! it is very frustrating and may Allah punish these money sucking, unethical people! email them if that's also an option

I am also the victim. SR 5 deducted more than 30 times as soon as i receive the follwing message entitled below. May Alla help them stop this or punish them Ameen...

Well thanks a lot to all of you who took some time out and posted there experiences. I am from KSA Jeddah and also a victim of this scam. After every 5 days an amount of SR.5/- is deducted.
I have tried every sort of thing mentioned in the above comments but so far no success.
The only way out i see is that we change our SIM, As the officials are also unable to resolve these matters. So we change the SIM and take care that next time we do not greedy or try to act smart on some freaking IQ test. .. LOL :).

please try this way send the sms To cancel the service just send stop wallpapers to 616234 for Mobily customers
or stop wallpapers to 802600 for STC customers.

Im also victim before but ALHAMDULLILAH i search the solutions and its works 100%. The solution is you have to email to support.sar@timwe.com & subject is STOP WALLPAPER AND YOUR MOBILE NUMBER. inshallah everything will be ok like before.

send sms to : 802600 and type 'STOP WALLPAPER'
THEN SEND after sending you will be notified that your subscribtion has been cancelled, and 5SR will be deducted (damn you).... but you will be free from this (headache) subscription

I am also a victim, every month 5 riyals are deducted from my SAWA account. But I do not remember giving any IQ tests or anything,,, can anyone help me please??

Since last two months im also suffering about this problem I was playing online IQ test finally, I was asked to enter my mobile number. When I tried this it shows one file is downloading.
So far I lost many saudi riyals everytime I recharge SR: 10 is deducting from my balance. I'm Saudi Arabia, having SAWA mobile service provider. Please help me if you can & get out of this problem.

I m also victim of the same service..I have called and visit STC customer care 5 times, But, there can't do anything. They just it is not belongs to them. I already have loose SR 125 in this scandal. and my this cell is spread all over the world so i cant change it Plz, if any one know how to solve this question then help me..

I was playing online IQ test fianlly, I was asked to enter my mobile number. As soon as I entered my mobiel number received 2 messages it deducted MYR: 3.00 for each messages. The message I received from 36181 messages is:
RM3.00:IQ:Humans and dolphins are only species that have sex for pleasure. So far I lost MYR: RM3.00 everytime I recharge MYR: 30 is deducting from my balance. I'm Malaysia, having Digi mobile service provider. Please help me get out of this problem.

I am in Saudi Arabia and I am too the victim of this scam. Everytime i recharge, SR 4/- is deducted for nothing. I am suspicious about Mobily Co.. May be they are recovering the past discounts given to us and now they are deducting the discounted amount whenever we charge the account. If Mobily management is reading this, please explain your stance or come up with some solution. Victim of Scam.

solution for the above problem.
Step 1 Send sms to 802600
Step 2 type text 'STOP WALLPAPER' then send
after this again 5 SR will be deducted from ur account, but you will be free from this (headache) subscription - gudluck

THEN SEND after sending you will be notified that your subscribtion has been cancelled, and 5SR will be deducted....this is very bad STC shall stop earning money this way

I am also facing the same problem. Sawa netwrok in Saudi Arabia.

I recommend all to send a mail to STC support asking them to take action, otherwise to close the service. They have to take action! When a lot of complaints comes, sure they will take action.

I dont remember to where and which web site i gave my mobile number as said above by many victims of incoming messages. till now i have received 10 times the same kind of message entitled Awad Nafaa and every time SR 5 has been deducted for each message. Allah may help them to stop this wrong deed otherwise punish them Ameen....

I m also victim of the same service..I have called STC customer care 5 times, But, there can't do anything. They just it is not belongs to them. I already have loose SR 25 in this scandal. But, my current cell no. is so popular and important that. I am a sawa customer and facing the same problem from the 802600. Who is behind this robbery? STC authirites should take immediate action. Otherwise we would have no option but to discontinue with the service.

Please anybody advise me how to stop this message which comes to me to download wallpaper from this link & cuts my SR 5 after every message.This message comes again & again after 4-5 days.I have tried sending message stop wallpapers to 802600 but all in vain.I complaned to STC customer care center,they send some message in arabic & says now everything is OK, but nothing happens.Please advise me

If this message is comming from 6290 then do the following

Send 'stop wallpaper' To 616234

Make sure to use the lower case in the message. Soon you will get the message telling this damm service has been canceled.

I tried this and this works.
