BBB Takes Issue With Comcast's 'Fiber' Network Claim

Verizon and Comcast have been rivals in the Internet and TV service for a long time. With Verizon expanding its FiOS Internet and TV service, Comcast claims they also have a fiber network. However, Verizon and the National Advertising Division of the Better Business Bureau suspect that this claim is false, according to fiercetelecom.com.

First point, NAD refers Comcast's decision not to participate in NAD's adjudication process, which determines whether the company's fiber claims to the Federal Trade Commission are true. Secondly, the type of pipe Comcast uses to deliver it's services is not real fiber, but in fact hybrid fiber coax.
