The Apple App Store is nearly at its 10 billionth download, according to Mashable.
The Apple App Store has been a pretty big success. With 3 billion apps downloaded by January 2010, that number has since tripled in approximately a years time.
With the approach of the 10 billionth download, Apple has announced that they will be giving away a $10,000 iTunes Gift Card to the person who downloads the 10 billionth app. To view the official rules of the contest, click here.
