Amtrak Extends Promotion for Cheap Tickets

If you're going to be traveling this fall, you might want to reconsider your transportation method.

Amtrak has extended its fare promotion through December 16 which offers up to 25 percent off the lowest published coach fare on Northeast Regional service. What is that you ask? It's service between Washington, DC, New York, and Boston.

A sample fair includes DC to NY for a one-way ticket price of $49. Unlike flying, there are no additional taxes or fees to Amtrak prices.
