The National Advertising Division (NAD) of the Council of Better Business Bureaus was established in 1971 as a strategic alliance of the three major advertising trade organizations and the CBBB. Staffed by attorneys who are experts in advertising law and practice, NAD provides a forum for expeditious resolution of advertising disputes between competitors, and is charged generally with monitoring and evaluating truth and accuracy of national advertising. Its online archive chronicles 36 years of advertising case decisions.
