Denver, CO – July 13, 2011 – An online business that appears to sell recreational products has been the subject of a recent rash of complaints to the Better Business Bureau Serving Denver/Boulder. The Web site is http://rushaction.co – (not .com but .co).
Complaints to the BBB allege that the company is charging the consumer without authorization and the consumer never ordered anything from the company. According to the complaints, charges range from $8.40 to $9.90.
Rushaction.co was using a local, 303-area code phone number but it has since been disconnected. They are now using a 719-area code phone number and a representative from the company told the BBB they are located in Fountain, Colorado but refused to give the BBB its actual address. The representative spoke in a foreign accent and also indicated to the BBB that they will not respond to complaints that have been filed.
“Because the charges consumers are incurring are so low, it’s reasonable to suspect that this operation is hitting a large volume of people but trying to fly under the radar,” said Dale Mingilton, president and CEO of the BBB Serving Denver/Boulder. “We are skeptical that they are actually operating in Colorado and it is especially concerning that they are choosing not to respond to BBB complaints.”
This company first came to the BBB’s attention in the beginning of June when the first complaint was filed. Since then, the company has received a total of eight complaints – all alleging the same billing issue. Emails to the company have also been returned as undeliverable. The company currently has an F rating with the BBB.
