[Arlington, VA, April 11, 2006] The Better Business Bureau is currently seeking outstanding, ethical high school junior and seniors to enter its 2nd annual BBB International Student Ethics Award competition.
The award program was established to recognize outstanding high students who personify high ethics demonstrated through leadership, community service, academic history and overall personal integrity.
"The impetus behind the award is to foster integrity and ethics among those who will one day staff, manage and lead our nation’s businesses," said Steve Cole, president and CEO of the Council of Better Business Bureaus, Inc.
Up to five students will be selected to be honored with a scholarship of $2,500 towards their college education. The 2006 award criteria, guidelines and procedures are available online at www.bbb.org/BizEthics/studentForm.asp.
The deadline for submitting entries has been extended to Friday, May 19, 2006. The BBB Student Ethics Award program is open to all high school junior and seniors in the United States, Canada or communities in Mexico served by Better Business Bureaus.
This year’s recipients will be recognized at a special ceremony in Vancouver, Canada on September 18, 2006.
