We entered into a contract with Lanier Roofing on 9/7/21. We were being proactive in getting our roof replaced due to hail damage before we had any active leaks. Lanier had been doing other homes on street and came with good recommendations (but no one had experienced issues to see how they handled problems). Contract attached. 10/4/21 Lanier called informing us they were starting work on our home. We expressed concern that we would not be present and more importantly that it was to rain the entire week. When I expressed my concern of replacing roof during week of potential rain - Lanier repeatedly stated “they were professionals and there would be no problems. They do this all the time.” 10/7/21 – we arrive home to stains from water leaks in our living room, master bedroom and master bath. More concerning was the horrific odor in our sunroom. Upon inspection you could tell water had leaked in there also. I have attached a time line of events. But it is now 1/23/22 and restoration work has not been 100% completed and Lanier stated that if they do not get payment (1st time they have asked for anything additional). They will not complete. This is almost 4 months and not completed.
