08/2022 purchased a vehicle for my son and his wife. Cost was $5400. Paid with the business credit card machine. Was told by the person who sold us this vehicle, he was part owner. We went to the property of Vehicles Unlimited to pick up the vehicle at the end of September 2022 after we were told a new rack was being put in. 2 weeks later we took it to ****** ******* and found out there were many problems wrong and the vehicle was unsafe and legally should not be on the road. I paid to have it towed back to Vehicles Unlimited on October 24, 2022. They agreed the vehicle was unsafe and would refund me back the money in full. Finally on January 2nd the owner, Tony contacted me and agreed to pay me in full, promising I would NOT be out any money. I received a partial payment on Saturday, January 7, 2023 in the amount of $4500. Tony stated he would give me a payment of $500 in a week and the rest the week after that. It took until Saturday, January 25th to get the $500. Tony stated he would NOT give me any more money, that it wasn't his problem. I let him know that he is running an illegal business by selling mechanically unsound vehicles, by not having them inspected before leaving his lot and for title hopping. He has a gentleman by the name of George on his property selling these vehicles illegally. George is the man we dealt with until finally hearing from Tony. Tony is full aware of this. He even stated that George doesn't have the money to pay me back, so he would have to. And if I was to sue, I would have to sue him, meaning Tony. I told him I should never have been out any money, especially since the vehicle has been resold, again illegally (still mechanically unsound and title hopped again.) This company still owes me $400 (the remainder of the $5400), $200 for the tow fee and $300 for the brake job I had done before finding out how illegal everything was. I'll also be turning the company in to the DMV & DOT for running an illegal operation.
