    We bought our house in January of 2019 and hired Holland Landscaping in the fall of that year to install a waterfall pond, landscaping and an irrigation system in our yard. All were completed in approximately 3+ months with very little instructions given on the pond upkeep and maintenance. From the beginning of using the pond, the water dropped about 3-4 inches a week requiring me to refill it up to a certain level about twice a week. I didn't realize that this was too often for a newly installed pond and Scott, the owner, sent his workers to drill a hole in the lower section of the pump so I wouldn't have to fill it so often. The liner couldn't be checked for leaks because they cemented all of the rocks in which I later found out is not the industry standard. I was still having problems with the water dropping too fast and repeatedly tried to get it fixed. My contact with the company went on for months, sometimes hearing back from them and the usual response was "when we have time," or we'll handle it "after planting season," all while working within the neighborhood on other projects one after another. I spent hours of my time monitoring the pond in any way he wanted to help locate the problem. It was apparent to me that it was installed incorrectly somehow and it wasn't being addressed at all. Finally a couple of months ago he sent 2 guys out to remove the cemented rocks from the bottom of the pond, (not touching the sides) and patched up several visible holes and re-cemented the rock into the bottom. They removed the pump to redo the area around it. They filled it up and said "good now." The next day it had dropped 2 inches already and I was crushed. It continued to drop about 2 inches a day until it had almost reached the bottom. I haven't hear from them since. We have hired a different company to fix it but it will cost us a few thousand. We have never gotten to enjoy it. People should not trust him with ponds.
