Complaint: Fence was installed 3-4 inches above the ground, even after I explained that we had dogs and it would need to be close to ground as possible Fence gap was letting dogs out under the fence (they did not have to dig). We explained to him that we had told him about the dogs and it was important to us that it be as close to the ground as possible. Owner of company came out and we showed him the issues. He agreed to "fix it" buy putting strips of sod under the fence to build up the soil in the gap. He came back the next day and basically just pried up the existing soil using a shovel to "fluff up" the dirt. As soon as it rained, the soil sank back down and the gap re-appeared. My neighbor also had the exact same issue with the fence.
Desired Settlement: I would either like him to resolve the gap height issue permanently, or refund the money and take back the fence.
Business Response: Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/11/11) */ A refund is not an option, and sorry we arnt going to come and do any more free work for you.this is not a warranty issue, you have lowspots in your yard that need to be addressed and the fence has nothing to do with it. Basically you are building a house and its not finished yet because you still need to fill the low spots in your poorly graded yard. Thanks for the complaint on my company tho, i have allready sold more jobs off of this fence in your neighborhood, they keep calling asking us to build there fences and love the quality. God bless

Complaint: Fenceworks has not completed the work agreed upon in the contract. They are aware, and are not returning phone calls. It has been over a month. An estimate/contract was completed April 21st stating that Fenceworks would construct a privacy fence using capped steel posts. Deposit of $1370 was paid (check, was chased) During the week of May19th, the posts were installed and fence was placed. We were informed that they didn't have caps for the posts in stock, but would be out the next week to install them, the remaining $1720 was paid (check, was cashed). June 17th: Called to question about post caps and was informed that someone would be out the following day to install them. No one ever showed, and now phone calls are not being returned.
Desired Settlement: I'm simply asking that the company in question fulfill their duties and complete the work agreed upon in the contract. I want my fence posts to be capped in order to prevent issues and prolong the life of the product,
Business Response: Initial Business Response /* (1000, 9, 2014/07/24) */ the fence post will last the same amount weather capped or not, they are the same on the inside as the out, and it withstands the elements the same, they are galvanized inside and out, your contract does not state that the post would be capped for that matter, and just to make you happy the caps were installed today. anyways this complaint was over a $5 dollar bill.
