DISCLAIMER: I have only been with the bank for a month and this is only the most RECENT issue we have had with them. On 6/28/2022 I deposited a check through the ATM from my previous mortgage company for the overpayment of my mortgage pay off. At the time of the deposit there was a notification that $100 dollars would be made available and the rest would clear in 24-48 hours. This time frame came and went but the funds still did not clear to my account. Customer service has been contacted EVERY MORNING since 72 hours after the check was deposited asking for an explanation of why the funds are on hold and asking for a release. Each day we are told a ticket will be put in for a supervisor call back, Low and Behold.....it never happens. This morning, we were told that the reason the check is on hold is because it is over $1000 and their bank policy states check deposits over $1000 dollars are held for 9 DAYS!!! 9 DAYS!!! This was NEVER disclosed in a clear and conspicuous manner after the ATM read, processed AND DISPLAYED the dollar amount of my check. Clear and conspicuous for holds of this nature are REQUIRED by UDAAP and are not present. Just a few minutes ago, the CS agent I spoke to this morning, and requested a supervisor call back from called me back just 45 minutes later to tell me that nothing was going to be done to help me because the check deposit was suspicious and fraudulent and it was good they held it. It's a check from a nationwide mortgage company. It has my signature on it. it was deposited into MY bank account ON CAMERA using MY pin to access MY account. But it's suspicious and fraudulent and my money is being held hostage, without proper disclosure regarding their deposit holds. No one from RCB cares. I will be closing my account as soon as my funds are released. I'm not going to allow a bank that is treating me like a criminal to manage my money or anything having to do with my finances. WORST. BANK. EVER.
