Less than a week after repairs, engine light comes back on. It was explained to me the issue is directly related to supposedly repaired issue.
Approximately 1/14/2015 I went outside to start my vehicle, it would not start. After having vehicle towed to Krones auto repair specialists, I was given a price quote of $715.70. by a representative by the name of ********* **** explained to me that upon diagnosis, that the technician found Intake Manifold was leaking coolant into engine. That he would need to replace the upper intake manifold, change motor oil, pcv valve, coolant and spark plugs. He also told me he would have to replace one of the fuel injectors, (although the work order does not reflect it). I went to retrieve my vehicle 1/16/2015 and paid $707.80. On the morning of 1/22/2015, I start my car like usual and proceeded to the nearest fueling station. While idling at a red light, the service engine light comes on. Seeing as how the service engine light came on, and has not come on other than the day of 1/14/2015, before I sent it to them and today, 1/22/2015. I drive my vehicle back to Krones auto repair specialists so they can explain to me the cause of the service engine light being on once again. Gets interesting from here, ****, right off top tells me it can't be related to anything that they've fixed, this statement was made before he even had the car checked out. He went on to explain that it would be a half-hour to an hour wait. That's exactly what my puppy and I decided to do, wait. **** hops in his truck after so rudely asking me for the keys and I'm assuming he went to lunch or ran to pick up parts or something of that nature. I waited on their property for approximately fourty-five minutes. In that time frame, I witnessed a technician get in the driver seat of my vehicle for no more than two minutes. **** pulls back up shortly some time after that. He tells me to come into the shop so he can give me a rundown on what they found. **** proceeds to explain that there was a code that I would have to have someone look-up to find out why the service engine light was on, and once again, it had nothing to do with the service that was performed on my vehicle. I drive a 1998 Buick Park Avenue, the code he gave me read; P0401A - EGR flow insufficient. I do exactly as he stated, and went to find out what the code meant. First thing I find out, he was supposed to explain what the code meant, I take my car and the code to Quebedeaux Buick GMC dealership service area and right away one of the service consultants by the name of **** ******* looks up the code and begins to explain. I stop him right away and I say hold on sir, you're speaking Chinese to me, I don't quite understand. **** would go a step further and tells me if I have my car here, he'll show me. First he shows me a schematic and when he saw the confusion on my face he takes me outside and pops the hood and shows me what he was trying to explain to me. That's when I decided to retrieve my work order receipt from the glove box and showed it to ****. Without quoting him verbatim, **** explained that by looking at my work order, the code that was given to me relates directly to the work order. Whether it was something they forgot to connect or what, the bottom line from what I gathered from Mr. *******, I had trouble on my hands. I'm attempting to contact you because it was recommended to me by Mr ******** I'm Back where I started, minus seven hundred dollars.
I would like for my vehicle to be repaired properly. Although I don't have faith that I would receive that from Krones Auto Repair Specialists. I'm Inclined to have Quebedeaux Buick GMC dealership service department have it repaired.
To whom it may concern,
On 1/13/2014 ******* ***** had his 1998 Park Avenue towed in to shop because the engine would not crank over due to the fact that it was hydrolocked with coolant. We found that the upper plastic intake manifold was warped and leaking coolant into the engine. Mr. ***** stated to go ahead and replace the intake manifold for $707.08. We performed the repair and the engine started and there was no more coolant leaking into the engine. That is the only repair that Krone's Auto has performed for ******* *****. We as always can not and will not warranty anything other than what we repair. We did not diagnose the computer or anything else other than why the engine wont start. The fact that the engine start and runs is proof the repair was performed. The vehicle has over XXXXXX miles on it and obviously has other repairs that need to be diagnosed and repaired. I contacted **** ******* from Quebedeaux buick about his response and he stated that he told ******* ***** the vehicle needs to be diagnosed and he can not know what the fault is until it is diagnosed as I also told ******* the same exact thing. The vehicle has never been into Quebedeaux for diagnosis or repairs. ******* is not back where he started as he stated, the car starts and runs which it did not do before he brought it to me. We did in fact repair the fault that the vehicle was brought into us for -A HYDRO-LOCKED ENGINE. It's not good that ************ from Quebedeaux Buick recommended that ******* ***** contacts the BBB instead of correctly stating that no one knows the fault until its diagnosed. And also actually looking at the repair we performed and realizing that a coolant leak and hydro-locked engine has nothing to do with an EGR code p0401a. (See hard copy online)
