My wife and I have smelled gasoline fumes in the cabin of her 2014 Hyundai Sonata as temperatures have risen in ******. I have been nauseated and had a headache from that. We have reported this to your service staff in ******.Your staff in ****** at *** Click 22d St, as represented by **** Service Advisors does not take the claim seriously at all. The car is with them for a second time this past month for the same problem. This time its been with them for 1 week( as of July 20, 2021) and still no resolution. Unfortunately, when we take it in for service, the temperatures have abated and the staff are not able to do a "smell test." It is frustrating to hear them give this excuse, and we cannot understand why they cannot just start from the premise that we are accurately reporting gas fumes in the cabin, and proceed to diagnose and repair with that premise established.Instead they rely on diagnostics, which makes us wonder at their skill set as actual traditional mechanics. They explain this approach over and over, and cut off conversation with "don't **** in" when my wife tries to respond. It looks like"imposter syndrome" from staff who can read a computer readout, but realize they are not actually mechanics, and are defensive about it. That's what it looks like from the outside anyway.Why not start with the evidence at hand? Take our word and proceed from there. Use our nose for the"smell test." Average reasonable people do know the smell of gasoline after all.Start with: There ARE sickening gas fumes from the vehicle entering the cabin, AND diagnostics are insufficient to pinpoint the cause, requiring actual traditional mechanical skills to solve a dangerous situation. Arrogance from staff without mechanical or customer service skills is highly inappropriate, and a little humility, curiosity, and actual customer service might serve the situation better.We are still waiting to hear back from ****.*******
