They came out 7/17/23 I called them about my water heater pilot not ignighting. Charged me $135 to clean vent on the bottom of the water heater and was certain that was the problem. It didn't work and they tore the burner assembly out to looked at it and cleaned the thermal pile and still couldn't get it to work. Said they thought the valve was bad and it wasn't getting gas or it could also be both thermalpile and valve and quoted me $600 for burner assembly because they said you have to buy it in one piece, and the valve was another $600 so $1200 for both, or recommended I buy a new water heater for around $3000 with $900 to install it because mine was 10 years old. I said I would call them and let them know what I wanted to do. I called another company who quoted me $1200 for a water heater but couldn't get the parts to repair mine. So I looked online and ordered a new thermalpile and ignitor for $30 and not the valve because it was getting gas the day before. They specifically told me I had to buy thermalpile with whole burner assembly in one piece but I found it and not in one piece for a fraction of the price and I just installed it and it fired right up no problems. I really feel like Beltz tried to take advantage of me and put honesty and integrity aside to make more money. I work maintenance and decided to do it myself because of the price and only had them do it because I work a lot. So I paid $135 for 5 minutes to clean the vent on the bottom. They will never get another dime from me or anyone I know, I'll be making a Facebook post for my 1000s of friends and family to never trust them or use there shady services with a explanation of my experience. I will be calling them tomorrow to complain. I also texted their dispatcher from the number they texted me from and I got no response. I don't expect any money back or anything in return I just don't want other people to get taken advantage of like they tried and failed to do to me.

Troy went out on 07/17, charged $135 to clean combustion screen and do minor diagnostic testing on the water heater. This did not solve the problem. Troy gave three other options for repair and replacement. Michael did not want to go with any of the options and took issue with our pricing. He also claimed in his original complaint that Troy said a very small part couldn’t be replaced without removing and replacing a larger component, because the small part wasn’t available to buy on its own. Michael claims he has since found it available separately. Upon hearing of Michael’s dissatisfaction, the plumbing manager and call center manager determined we’d rather refund the diagnostic fee than lose a customer over pricing and a potential mistake regarding part availability. The call center manager reached out to Michael to offer the refund but has not heard back from him.
