According to information received by the Better Business Bureau, consumers claim they are being mailed "mystery shopping" checks by Intellishop of Perrysburg, Ohio. This company is not mailing out these phony checks and does not do business in this manner. The Intellishop company is working with their local police department regarding this matter.
Consumers are advised not to cash these checks being received claiming to be for mystery shop services. The checks are fraudulent and if cashed, may cause the consumer's bank account to be overdrawn and therefore responsible for the check amount.
If you have cashed one of these checks, you may need to contact your bank along with your local police department.
