Volunteers of America is a national, nonprofit, faith-based organization dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential. At the local level, Volunteers of America Northwest Ohio provides more than 18 human service programs, including housing, corrections, and community enhancement. Volunteers of America Northwest Ohio served 25,000 people in Lucas, Wood, Erie, Ottawa, Sandusky, and Senace Counties. Their ministry of service supported and empowered the most vulnerable groups, including the elderly, men returning from prison, homeless individuals and families, people with disabilities, and those recovereing from addiction.
