The seal, which can be displayed on the charity's web site and in printed materials, helps inform the public that the charity meets these standards. This organization participates in this program.


Programs

The City Mission of Findlay Ohio provides the following services:

Emergency Shelter: Provides emergency shelter to single men and women, families, and handicapped persons. While a family or individual works with other social services to acquire employment and housing, they are able to maintain a stable situation for themselves and their children at the Mission until they can re-establish their own homes.

Drop-In Program: Local people at the poverty level may come nightly for an evening meal. The evening meal is also available to former clients who are working and have found housing but still find it difficult to make ends meet.

During the week surplus baked, boxed, or canned goods are set out for drop-in guests to take home. Once a month drop-in guests can receive a food basket with a week's supply of food. They may also request a packet of basic hygiene products.

Transient Men's Program: Offers case management to transient (i.e. non-program) men for the length of stay that is subject to determination by the Men's Director, based on their willingness to seek employment and save their money, in order to gain housing and independence.

Transient Women's and Families Program: Offers case management to women and families. The Woman and Families Director meets regularly with each individual or family to update their progress in finding employment, saving and learning to budget their money, seeking housing, and transitioning successfully out of the Mission.

New Life Directions Program: Provides men, who are trying to regain their independence with long-term assistance in developing a plan of action for dealing with the problems that led to their homelessness. Daily classes include Bible study, personal budgeting, time management, job interview skills, and relationship management. Individual Biblical counseling and regular assessments are also provided.

Spiritual Counseling and Guidance: Those staying at the Mission are offered counseling for spiritual problems, providing an encouraging and supportive environment for those who come seeking help.
