BBB Student of Ethics Awards - Apply Now

High school students may apply for the BBB's Student of Ethics award, which recognizes exceptional ethics, leadership, service and academic achievement.

2015 Student of Ethics winnersBetter Business Bureau Serving Eastern Missouri & Southern Illinois Student of Ethics Award Program recognizes high school students who personify high ethics demonstrated through leadership, community service, overall personal integrity and academic history.

Students will be selected by an independent panel of judges. Scholarships must be used within three years of receiving the award, and will be distributed to the student’s college or trade school upon verification of enrollment. The scholarship must be applied toward school-related expenses, including: tuition, books, room and board or other related items.

Award certificates will be presented to recipient students at the BBB’s TORCH Awards events.  BBB will pay for each student  winner to attend the event and will provide two additional tickets for the student’s parents or guests.

Award deadlines and requirements vary by region. Students should apply for the awards based on the region where they reside:

St. Louis Region Student of Ethics Awards counties:

Missouri counties: Carter, Clark, Crawford, Dent, Franklin, Gasconade, Iron, Jefferson, Knox, Lewis, Lincoln, Marion, Monroe, Perry, Phelps, Pike, Pulaski, Ralls, Reynolds, Shannon, Shelby, St. Charles, St. Francois, Ste. Genevieve, St. Louis, St. Louis (City), Warren, Washington.

Illinois counties: Adams, Bond, Calhoun, Christian, Clay, Clinton, Coles, Cumberland, Douglas, Effingham, Fayette, Greene, Jasper, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, Marion, Monroe, Montgomery, Moultrie, Pike, Randolph, Richland, Shelby, St. Clair, Washington.

High school juniors who will graduate in May 2017 may apply now for this award.

Cape Girardeau Region Student of Ethics Award counties: 

Illinois Counties: Wayne, Hamilton, Saline, Pope, Hardin, Massac, Pulaski, Alexander, Johnson, Williamson, Franklin, Jefferson, Union, Jackson, Perry.

Missouri Counties: Oregon, Ripley, Butler, Dunklin, Pemiscot, New Madrid, Mississippi, Stoddard, Scott, Cape Girardeau, Bollinger, Wayne, Madison.

For high school seniors who will graduate in May 2016. Applications have now closed.

Columbia Region Student of Ethics Award counties:
