Passport to Learning webinarsGreat news: BBB offers BBB Accredited Businesses a new series of 13 webinars taught by local experts and business owners. Topics were selected from responses to a survey of BBB Accredited Businesses. At least one webinar will be offered each month, and Passport holders will be able to access recorded versions later for review and sharing with employees.

These jam-packed webinars allow you to learn from your office, home, or wherever you access the Internet. BBB Passport To Learning offers you access to all 13 webinars for $99, less than a third of the cost of purchasing each webinar individually. To sign up, click here.

All webinars are from noon to 1 p.m.

Topics include:

February 18 (rescheduled): Advertising & Marketing To Get Results. Lauren Kolbe, co-owner of Kolbe Co., a full service marketing firm, covers creating and placing marketing messages and measuring results.

February 25: Getting Things Done. Mary Kutheis, principal at Real Contentment, teaches you four simple strategies to improve time management skills and productivity.

March 25: Effective Communications. Dr. Bob Serven and GeGe Mix, partners in The Learning Initiative LLC, will help you define your communications style and adapt it for your audience in written and electronic communications.

April 25: Effective Sales Management. Ken Stark, CEO at Stark & Associates, will teach you to identify a high-potential hire and manage salespeople for optimum results.

May 27: Cash Flow Management. CPAs Justin Lee and Steve Harris of RubinBrown’s Entrepreneurial Services Group help you set up and maintain a cash flow spreadsheet, adapt best practices to manage your cash flow and avoid risky business decisions.

June 26: Anatomy of a Business Plan. Steve Epner, CSP at Brown Smith Wallace Consulting Group, covers what a business plan should include and how it can give you a competitive advantage.

July: Do’s and Don’ts of Hiring & Firing. Megan Beckman of CBIZ Human Capital Services, teaches you to identify characteristics of a strong candidate, how to conduct an interview and how to stay legal when you hire or fire an employee.

August 28: Performance Improvement & Productivity. Mike Lockwood, managing director of The Collective, reveals what employees need to work effectively, how to develop performance metrics and how to ensure results.

September 16: Getting to the Heart of Employee Engagement. Les Landes, principal at Landes & Associates, reveals vital insights and practical tools and techniques on how to create organizations where employees love to work and customers love doing business.

September 30: Leadership Development. Dr. Ann Beatty, founder and CEO of Beatty LLC, will show you how to evaluate your leadership effectiveness with a simple self-assessment tool and use it to improve your own leadership, take advantage of opportunities and solve problems.

October 22: Success Metrics to Drive Business. Steve Finkelstein, senior partner of Experience On Demand, helps you identify measures that affect results, assign accountability and use metrics to make informed decisions.

November 18: Social Media for Business. Steve Thomas, president of The Net Impact, defines which social media tools can help your business and how they can be used effectively.

December 16: Keeping Up with Technology. Eric Humes, CEO and founder of Keystone IT Consulting, will help you identify major trends in technology and how to assess your company’s technology needs.

These experts will provide you with information and tools that you can use every day in your business. You’ll be able to review recorded webinars and share them with your employees.
