Definitely would not do business with this company, very unethical. On my way to Indianapolis, I had a flat tire on I-70 East, about 49 miles west of Effingham. My wrench would not work on the lug nuts so I called my service thru insurance company. They were an 90 minutes away. Because it was 22 degrees outside and I was on the side of major highway with semi trucks going by so I called 911. They connected me with a tow service. They arrived and did not have the proper tool so he said would get another company to handle, said they were not far away. They showed up, put the spare on in about 15 minutes. I asked how much it was, he said $200, that's what his boss said to charge. I asked to speak to his boss. Told him that was not a fair price for 15 minutes work. He said that's what he is charging. Told him would not pay that. He asked what I thought was a fair price, I said $50. He said no, said $175, told him would not pay that. By now I had been on the side of the road for two hours, freezing weather, agreed on $150, which is still price gouging. He totally took advantage of the situation to gouge me. In addition, the card reader his employee had did not work so had to drive to a convenient store and pay in cash.
