I've been with this company for several years now. They raised their rates in sept by $10, then get my bill for dec. and it's been raised another $13. It's now $135 every 3 months. It's been raised several times throughout the year. Gas has gone down so why is it being raised on each billing cycle and not informing us?Review from Tom T

received a note on the trash can stating that the lid has to be completely closed for them to collect the trash??? miss pickups and will not take anything that is not in the can. Have had this service for 8 years now and all of a sudden, they can't show up and take the trash. After calling was told they will pick up next week???? Talking to the city for a better solution. So bad!!! The company says that they have radio dispatched collection equipment, but when you call them, they say they cant call a driver and have no way to reach them. Hmmmm. You cant reach them when you need them. You get an answering AI who ends up telling you that no one is available and that the office is closed at 3:50, when they close at 5. I called for an hour and 15 minutes but never got to talk to anyone. That happened on a Friday, so I had to wait until Monday. They have missed picking up our trash at our Wedding Venue several times. This week being one of them and the dumpster is overflowing, making it an eyesore for guests:(Review from James H

While waiting for my trash cans for three weeks of no service... Finally seeing a can laying at the ****************, I go to get it and it was broken and had trash in it. I reported it and they said they would come get it (never happened)? They then picked up for a couple weeks only to suspend my service for a couple more weeks over a $13 bill that I was unaware of until I called to find out why they hadn't picked up. I was going to file a complaint with the BBB but decided to pay and let it ride instead of going through all the hassle. Service was ok so I paid for another 3 months. After the trash had not been picked up a couple of times in that period, I stop putting my trash out and didn't pay the bill because I didn't want the service anymore. As with many things they didn't tell me about I never " called to cancel ". So after not receiving service for half the first billing cycle, and not paying to continue the service I am threatened with collections and defamation to my credit for not paying for something I never wanted or received...? I must now waste my time to file a complaint (as usual) for something that should have been resolved with some simple understanding by the company. Instead, I have to get a middleman over ***************! Beware of the reviews and ratings of the noncustomer service of this company. Only gave a star because it forced me to!Review from Sherry F

I have been with waste connections for maybe a month I'm shocked by people saying they are horrible.I myself cannot say that, my trash guy is so polite so thoughtful and so professional.******** at the office is so on top of things, her and my trash guy are awesome..Maybe it's in the way one would speak to them, or maybe something more serious( than picking up your trash) came up .Review from Lynn M

As a resident of Wildwood, Missouri, we've usually had good service from this trash company. However, as time has gone on, our entire street continually gets missed pickups on Thursdays and we have to call to request them to come out. Fast forward to last Thursday, 6/15. Nobody showed up. Neighbors called. In fact 7 various residents including me have called multiple times. WE CONTINALLY ARE LIED TO. They didn't show up again on Friday. Friday they called, they promised to come out Monday, 6/19. We had just gotten back in town. Keep it mind, it's summer, it's hot, and trash it at the corner and the files and smell is only getting worse. I called Monday. They promised they were coming out that day. Again, no show. I called Tuesday and spoke with Carol, the floor manager who promised me they were coming out that day, which was yesterday, 6/20. At 4:00, trash was still not picked up, and I called and was told it was on the guy's route, he'd be there by 6. No trash pick up. Today is 6/21, Wednesday, and our entire street still has trash, flies and horrible smell. I've requested help from the city of Wildwood to see what we can do. I've requested a refund but I seriously doubt at this rate pick up will even happen and have our normal pick up on Thursday since we keep getting missed. I'm attempting to get ahold of someone in corporate today who can actually make a promise they can keep. This is horrible service. If your shopping for a service for your city, do NOT use Waste Connections. They are absolutely terrible.Review from Beth B

We are contracted by St Louis County to have this as our only waste hauler with no options for any other hauler. They usually get the trash and recycling on time but the yard waste service that we pay extra for is terrible. We have had our pick up as scheduled maybe once a month since the first of 2023 and it consistently gets worse. When we call they say they as short drivers as an excuse for not providing the service we pay for. My yard waste has sat at the curb for over two weeks on several occasions.Review from Michael B

I pay by the year at $21.00 per month. I paid them $252.00 on February 2, 2022 for service through January 2023. On October 1st 2022 I received a bill for $38.00 for service from them - So naturally I contacted them concerning this bill. I was informed that they have increased their rates twice this year and my current monthly bill is $35.20 per month. I asked why I had not been informed of a rate increase and was told, nobody was informed of the rate increases. This is unprofessional, unethical and illegal! I do not recommend that anyone conduct business with the company!
