Complaint: They offer a lifetime warranty on a drill set under the name of Ridgid. When you jump through all of the hoops to get the warranty you are told that they couldn't verify your purchase of the product and they need more information so after entering the serial numbers of all the items in the kit and the upc plus your receipt code number and date at their website you are told to mail the upc and receipt to them registered mail that then you will be upgraded to a lifetime warranty. Their game is to make it so hard to get the warranty that you will just go away so they don't have to honor it. "Dear ***,Thank you for choosing RIDGID power tools. Unfortunately, we encountered an issue when cross referencing your product and/or proof of purchase information with our records and were unable to upgrade your products to Lifetime Service Agreement (LSA) status. Please complete the instructions below to achieve Lifetime Service Agreement status on your products pending further processing and approval. "Sent by Customer Service 02:09PM on February 18, 2015: JON The receipt code/order number is new to the registration site, if the code is not accepted the receipt copy is required to be mailed; the upc is not needed just include your customer id number. Ridgid and Home Depot are working to have these issues cleared up until then a copy of the receipt is required to be mailed. You do not have to send the information as registered mail.Best regards,*** ********** World Technologies, Inc.Sent by *** 12:40PM on February 18, 2015:Just what information is it that you require to registrar my tools? I sent you the receipt number and the serial numbers of all the products in the kit. I am beginning to wonder if this isn't a ploy to make it to difficult to registrar the tools so you won't have to honor the warranty . We requested that a physical copy of the receipt be emailed to our customer service team, which we received. Upon receipt, we were happy to register his Lifetime Service Agreement. We work hard to make the registration process easy for our customers - which is why we offer a mail-in option if the automated process isn't able to process a customer's receipt. This issue has been resolved to the mutual satisfaction of our company and the customer.
