Complaint
This company was hired to do work. Did not do all the work that was discussed when hired and some of the work done was inferior.
This company gave us a couple bids for work to be done to our backyard. The work that was to be done was regrade and sod the backyard and regrade side yard, pour a 12 x 12 4" thick concrete pad for a shed to be installed on it and move a small landscaping wall in the front yard Bid was for $3000.00. It was discussed at the time of that final bid this would be done on two different occasions. First was supposed to be the concrete pad pour and the work in the backyard. Then after the shed installation they were supposesd to come back and re grade around the shed and sod that area along with the side yard work. On May 10 the crew showed up and started working on sodding the backyard and digging the pad area out. They damaged my neighbors fence during this process and replaced the wood however never re stained it. At that time we were happy with the service so far except the fence damage but we knew they were coming back to finish up in the next week or so. The next week we got the shed delivered and installed i was going to call this company to let them know so they could schedule to finish the work but on that same day i got a bill in the mail saying the work was complete. I emailed the owner and asked him about it and he said he didn't need to come back. We were surprised and wanted to discuss this and a few other issues we had with what his companys work. I met with him and showed him the concrete pad we were having problems with because it was supposed to be a 4" pour and it was less than 2" we also discussed with him the front wall was not moved as we discussed and the sideyard was not sodded. He said he would fix the bill to reflect their work. However i received a revised bill that had deducted $144. We at that time started having problems with the shed pad and water damning up under it because it was not graded properly and the concrete was to thin. It was starting to sink. We had to hire a company to french drain around the shed to save the pad from sinking further. I sent in a payment of $2000 to this company and a letter explaining the problems we were having with his work and the items that was not completed. I asked him to contact me and we can work on the figures if he was unhappy with them. He then sent me an email that said he was not deducting anything else and that he would turn me into a collection agency and not give any lien releases if i didnt pay the full balance. By the way he had balloned the prices of the sod and says a 2nd batch of sod was delivered a 2nd day but one worker came back the next day worked on my neighbors fence and laid 10 pieces of remaining sod from the day before. I feel i paid for the work that was done. And his company never came back after the shed installation to re grade and sod around the shed and the side yard as per our agreement.
This is the list of problems we had with this company: Concrete not poured correctly, he didnt come back to finish the job completely, damage to the neighbors fence that we have to buy stain for and stain it ourselves, the front wall not being done like we discussed, we had to clean/powerwash 1" thick of dirt and gravel off the street the day they were working and left it there and we had to buy fill rock, grass seed and dirt to try to support the shed pad because it was being washed away and they left damage to the side yard.

Desired Settlement
We would just like to have the bill reflect the actual items that were done and some credit taken off for the awful concrete pour. We paid them $2000 we think that is very close to what work we got out of them. Thank you,

She called and I met with her on 05/14/12 to address issues she had with the concrete pad and sod. When I left that day she was happy and said everything was resolved. I then sent her an invoice and she claims I am overcharging her. She does not know my costs. I am not overcharging her for the work or product she received.
