After a comprehensive search which solicited bids from 6 reputable hardscape companies, we decided on Big Bend Landscaping/Hardscape (BBL) for our patio and walkway project. So as not to bury the lead, BBL was thoroughly professional, experienced and efficient and did an outstanding job on our project, exceeding our expectations. Project manager and co owner ********************* was one of the most knowledgeable and accommodating persons we have ever had the pleasure to deal with. Despite a flood of our questions, concerns, delays and yes, changes to the plan, *** was immediately responsive and invariably offered very helpful suggestions. We were fortunate enough to have crew chief ** and his 3 family members as our work crew. ** himself is a magician with the Bobcat, and ****, Polo and ****** worked so seamlessly, you would believe they could do this in the dark with their eyes closed (which in fact they did at 5:30 pm). It was fun watching a team perform so efficiently. Our project required removing not only a **** square feet of 50 year old brick patio and walkways, but also in some cases over 12" of concrete foundation heavily interspersed with rebar. Try doing that with a bobcat. Despite those obstacles, what could have easily been a 7-8 day project was completed to our satisfaction in 3 1/2. Post project cleanup was a significant part and the crew did their best to get things back to normal including power washing the driveway, protecting the long, wide bare area where the bobcat traveled and picking up the odd pieces of brick, paver and other unused supplies.
